Sheela-na-gig I

pod-i1 This is one of a series of cast iron pods made at recent iron pours in (appropriately enough!) Ironbridge.

The pods are small hand-held objects that are sensual. Their weight allows them to push into your palm while you explore their surface.

I work as an artist and foster parent. I have lived in the beautiful English countryside for most of my life and it is while walking in the landscape, observing my surroundings in peace, that I gain most of my inspiration.

My education is within the field of fine art. I hold a BA (Hon’s) 1st class and a Masters degree in sculpture. I returned to the schools that I studied in to teach.
